Although only one diving tests, Ducati Team GP optimistic grab the podium in Qatar, April 8, later
Ducati Desmosedici GP12 Valentino Rossi is still more than 1 second behind Casey Stoner on MotoGP 2012 the first test at Sepang Circuit, Malaysia, last week. However, the calm, GP12 did not suffer from severe problems such as front-end that undermines GP11.
Cash, Rossi Crew Chief, Jeremy "Jerry" Burgess says Ducati has the right to brag. Burgess believes Rossi and Ducati have a chance of a podium finish at the Losail Circuit, Doha, Qatar, 8 April.
Burgess claimed GP12 Rossi is now second only to Honda's RC213V Stoner and Yamaha YZR-M1 is driven 1000cc Jorge Lorenzo.
"Stoner and Lorenzo are very fast because they have a motor capable. But, I think Ducati is legitimate to fight for podium in Qatar. I truly believe we can compete with the other drivers except the two that (Stoner and Lorenzo)," says Burgess Thursday (9/2). "This situation makes us eager for a podium finish. We welcome 2012 with confidence can do that. However, in the future if something goes wrong, it actually benefits us because we will be stronger. We start everything almost from scratch. But, I sure do not no more despair in the face of Ducati Team.
