Audi will produce a new car 7 seats version

While car company reduce to produce the minivan, the popular Germany car company Audi turn on the green light for their engineers to develop their first MPV version.

This minivan is expected based on the MQB structure of Volkswagen Group, but is a longer version and wider. MQB has been used new products for Volkswagen such as Audi A3, Seat Leon or VW Golf Mk7.

In an interview with Autocar magazine, sale marketing manager of Audi, Peter Schwarzenbauer strongly said that their company want a sports car looks like Ford S-MAX with 2 versions 6 and 7 seats.

The sources from Audi company said they can use the V-series to name the new vehicle. Likely to be the V3 or V4. Vehicle length of 4.5 m with an engine similar to Audi A3 with an optional turbocharged diesel and gasoline with the ability to have hybrid versions.

In March, there are also some informations reports that Audi had no intention of developing a simple MPV, instead is a high-roof version of the A4 Avant with only 2 seats.

It is not clear story about the new MPV is true, but it's pretty clear that Audi is seeking to expand its product line with a more versatile models, the suggestions of the kind of station wagon and crossover.
