Ford T 1908

(nicknamed "Tin Lizzie" or "Flivver" in the United States) is an automobile produced by the Ford Motor Company Henry Ford between 1908 and 1927. For many, the Ford Model T is the historic year of 1908 where the car enters the mass (in the U.S.). It is generally regarded as the first car accessible to the greatest number, which "put America on wheels" Henry Ford pioneered much for making the Model T: the assembly line, rather than individual and manual (Oldsmobile although this method has introduced earlier for the Curved Dash), salary proportional to the price of the car for the workers, so they provide a guaranteed market. The first Ford T series leaves the factory Piquette in Detroit September 27, 1908.
Since founding the company in 1903, Henry Ford had produced and developed several models of cars. The first model was designated as A, but there were not 19 production models to the Ford T: several were only prototypes. The "T" succeeded the "S", which itself was derived from the best-selling model so far, the "N". After twenty years of production Ford T, this model is not a "U" who succeeded him, but a new type A was expressed by Name renewal of the range. The rival firm Chrysler took the opportunity to launch in 1928 the first car brand under the name Plymouth Model "U".
The Ford Model T was named the most important car of the twentieth century after a survey International.
