Coming next-generation BMW X5M at Nurburgring

BMW is testing the next generation version of the X5M at the racetrack Nurburgring with the design of the M version as bigger brakes and use up to four exhaust pipes.

The second generation of BMW X5M is expected to launch in 2014 ,and use twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 of the current version. V8 engine is very important for the key market of BMW X5M is North America.

The 3rd generation BMW X5 launched in 2013 have arrived on the trail track with the majority of platforms based on the latest-generation X3 has just been sold last year. Larger wheelbase and wider, but the standard is equipped with two seats (3rd row seats will be in the form of options) although rear space is increased. Front suspension design of new-generation X5 will be used from version X3.

According to the latest information, 4-cylinder diesel engine BMW is prepared to confront the new CDI version of Mercedes-Benz ML250.



The BMW X5M version is expected to add the X5 xDrive25d, is likely to be equipped with 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine 204 hp, produces more torque to compensate for the weight and larger large BMW X5M. In other markets, a higher performance version will be equipped with six-cylinder diesel engine, gasoline engine V8 mainly to North America, China and the Middle East.
