The Problem: Headrests uses on the XTS’ rear bench seat are of a flip-up design. GM is recalling these items as they may not fully lock in an upright position once flipped forward. If so, the headrests do not meet the minimum height required by federal motor vehicle safety standards.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect the headrests, and if needed, replace them. Dealers were notified on October 22, and owners should receive notification later this week.
Vehicles Affected: 12,626 2013 XTS sedans.
