The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W 222): A new picture emerges online

There are at least 15 days left till the official unveiling ceremony for the new S-Class, which is to be held on 15th May. However, a new photo depicting the 222 model generation has just leaked on the internet a couple of hours ago.

Try as we may, we can hardly believe this is an error as the photo was initially posted on the mobile version of the Austrian website of Mercedes-Benz, available at http://m.mercedes-benz.at/ . Again, like on the first occasion when caught naked on street, it looks more like a strategic measure to test pacience and reaction to something new that is about to be revealed in a small period of time from time.

Although the artistic image of the new S-Class has already been removed, this did not help to stop the spreading of it all over forums and car-related websites. However, we have yet to hear an official announcement from Mercedes-Benz for the removal of what should be, in the first place, an embargoed photo. Till it happens, be delighted by the bold lines of the new S-Class. The pictured luxury sedan is equipped with AMG Sport optical package, which comes with a revised front apron and new air intakes, as well several highlights such as the multi-spoke alloy wheels with AMG design.

The latest leak could trigger the release of several new images in the coming days, if not from the original source, Daimler, and paired with first details prior to the world premiere event in Hamburg. We expect something new as early as tomorrow - if not, then everybody should settle down and wait for 15th May to show up in the calendar.
