Rossi to continue as Bridgestone Tyre Development Adviser

Nine times world champion Valentino Rossi has extended his agreement with Bridgestone Europe to act as Motorcycle Tyre Development Adviser.

As under the previous agreement, Rossi and Bridgestone will work together to promote the passion of motorcycling to bikers and enthusiasts throughout Europe, directly supporting the Bridgestone ‘track to street’ concept. Rossi will act alone as a professional rider; his MotoGP™ team and sponsors are not involved in the deal.

 

"I’ve been working with Bridgestone in MotoGP for many years and have always been impressed by their professionalism and the quality of their products. Continuing this agreement gives me an exciting opportunity to contribute to new Bridgestone motorcycle road tyres", commented the Italian.

 

As part of his role, Rossi will provide his evaluation and opinions on the performance of Bridgestone motorcycle tyres, particularly in the hyper-sport, racing and sport touring sectors. Bridgestone in turn will use his input in tyre development to deliver road tyres with better performance and improved safety margins.

With the extension of our agreement, we have secured advice and recommendations from one of the greatest motorcycle competitors of all times, thereby ensuring that we bring the best new Battlax tyres to market."

Honda Gresini rider Marco Simoncelli was tragically killed after a motorcycle accident in Malaysian MotoGP race on Sunday afternoon. Death of 24-year single came a week after the Briton Wheldon dying And when the Indy Car race in Las Vegas. It's a heavy blow to the Moto GP riders and also the country that hosts the race.

Simoncelli helpless lives an hour after falling from his motorcycle. This happens because of his lack of alacrity to perform rescue services to rescue a fallen rider on the track Sepang circuit. Simoncelli's accident was wearing a helmet apart and with it struck her motorcycle ridden by Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi at the corner of 11th at the new competition entering the second round, which led to his death Simoncelli in the Sepang Circuit Malaysia.

Simoncelli goodbye hopefully be learning for Moto Gp racers others to be more careful before doing the race in order to check all equipment used, in order not to repeat his helmet from his head off.
