Bugatti vs Ferrari Comparison

Bugatti Vs Ferrari
Bugatti vs Ferrari are two luxurious racing brands synonymous around the world with superior quality and speed. Each company provides a different type of driving experience and has developed its own stellar reputation in the racing world.

History
Starting in 1909, the Bugatti vehicle began donning the oval-shaped brand logo adorned with 60 pearls and has become synonymous with superior quality in the racing world. Throughout the first half of the 20th century, Ettore Bugatti developed an innovative combination of racing and luxury vehicles, something that had not yet been done at the time. From that point forward, Bugatti developed a unique niche in the auto world that still remains today.

Enzo Ferrari began developing cars in 1947 with the 125 S model, a vehicle powered by a 1.5-liter 12-cylinder engine. The company began developing race cars and has won numerous racing titles, including nine Formula One racer titles, 14 Manufacturers' World Titles, nine Le Mans 24 hour victories, and 113 wins in the Formula One Grand Prix. The company continues to create racing vehicles available for both professional and amateur use.

Bugatti
Bugatti currently offers two models to consumers, the Veyron 16.4 and the Grand Sport. The Veyron 16.4 boasts a 16-cylinder engine with four-wheel drive and a maximum speed of 240 miles per hour. At over 1,000 horsepower, the Veyron can go from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. The Grand Sport is a premiere roadster that combines a 16-cylinder engine and four turbo chargers to produce 1,001 horsepower. The seven-gear, dual-clutch system enables the vehicle to seamlessly shift gears and provide a seamless and smooth acceleration.

Ferrari
Ferrari boasts a larger library of seven vehicles, including the F430, the F430 Spider, the 430 Scuderia, Scuderia Spider 16M, 612 Scaglietti, 599 GTB and the Ferrari California. The base F430 comes standard with an eight-cylinder engine capable of speeds over 196 miles per hour. The F430 can go from 0 to 60 mph in four seconds and weighs in at 2,975 pounds. In comparison, the top-of-the-line Ferrari California comes standard with a 90-degree, eight-cylinder engine and is capable of speeds up to 193 miles per hour.

Comparison
The Bugatti auto manufacturer offers fewer model options than Ferrari, but is clearly capable of outperforming any of the Ferrari models. Each Bugatti is capable of outputs of over 1,000 horsepower in comparison to the Ferrari models that top out at 193 miles per hour. There is also a huge price difference between the two car manufacturers. Ferrari models range from a base price of $183,000 to around $500,000, while the Bugatti Veyron is priced at a staggering $1.7 million.

Solution
In reality, each car manufacturer is in a completely different price class and therefore cannot be compared on the same level. While each is an extremely expensive, luxurious vehicle, there is over $1 million of a price difference between the two. If money is no option, Bugatti clearly outperforms Ferrari in every way. However, if there is a budget on your luxury car purchase, Ferrari provides more than enough speed and luxury to suit even the more hardcore of car enthusiasts.
